MANUBELL80 1980 MANUEL LOPEZ BELLIDO Classical guitar #78

Cedar soundboard, Brazilian Rosewood 3 piece back & sides. Many of Manuel's finest guitars were made during the late 70s and early 80s using this design.

There are some "grain" surface cracks (structurally stable) in the back.

Manuel and Antonio Marin Montero shared a workshop in Granada during this period and this is one of many we imported at that time. I kept this one for myself and have owned it ever since.

MICHTHAM1980S 1980s MICHAEL THAMES CLASSICAL GUITAR #384

This is a great sounding guitar, as most of Michael's are. It's very even up and down the fingerboard in balance, volume and projection with noticeably clear separation of notes, while at the same time, a very pleasing richness of tone. It plays very easily in every way. Intonation is very good.

The soundboard is Cedar with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Fingerboard is Ebony. There are some minor dings and nail marks on the soundboard from normal usage.

The label does not have a year but as close as we can figure, it was probably made in the 1980s.

Scale length: 653mm - Nut width: 52mm

With case.

JOSERAMI1992 1992 JOSE RAMIREZ 1A Classical Guitar

Spruce top; Indian Rosewood back and sides

In excellent condition (no scratches, dings), this has the dot on the headstock which indicates that it's one of the "da camara" models which features a wooden "shelf" attached to the sides of the interior of the guitar and extends the entire perimeter of the plantilla. The original idea, as developed by Jose Ramirez III, was as a technique to clean the guitar up of any "wolf" tones. Indeed Ramirez was satisfied that the da camara assisted in this effort but also claimed that it enhanced the power and clarity of the instrument.

Very well balanced, very clear - this one is suited for the concert hall.

Scale length: 650mm - Nut width: 51mm

Original case included
